Description
Protecta FR Coating is a water-based, halogen-free ablative coating developed for mineral fibre fire-stopping systems. It is used with Protecta FR Board and related pattress solutions to seal exposed surfaces and help maintain the documented performance of the complete system.

- Designed for spray application to mineral fibre and coated board systems
- Dries to a flexible white finish
- Helps reduce the permeability of stone wool and restrict hot gases
- Supports resistance to flame spread, smoke leakage and heat transfer
- No separate decorative top coat is normally required
- Can contribute to fire resistance up to EI 240 when used in an approved Protecta system
Typical applications
Use to coat mineral fibre boards, exposed edges and pattress-style fire-stopping seals around service penetrations in walls and floors.
Installation note: Apply at the specified coverage and wet-film thickness and allow the coating to cure in accordance with current Protecta instructions.
