FIREFLY® Penowrap is a 300mm x 10m flexible fire wrap for protecting exposed timber and steel at junctions with FIREFLY® barrier systems. When installed to the tested detail, it provides up to 60 minutes of integrity and 60 minutes of insulation around vulnerable structural areas.

Description
FIREFLY® Penowrap is a lightweight flexible wrap used to protect exposed timber and steel where a FIREFLY® fire barrier meets the supporting structure. The aluminium-faced silica construction is easy to shape around awkward junctions and helps strengthen the fire-resisting detail at the head of the barrier.
Key features
- Provides up to 60 minutes of integrity and 60 minutes of insulation in tested system details
- Suitable for wrapping approved timber and steel sections below the barrier line
- Supplied as a 300mm x 10m roll
- Lightweight material can be cut and formed around irregular structural profiles
- Used with FIREFLY® angles, fixings and high-temperature adhesive
Typical applications
Use at vulnerable barrier junctions, including exposed timber or steel extending below the barrier, where the current FIREFLY® drawing requires supplementary wrap protection.
Installation note: Follow the specified wrap depth, overlap, orientation, adhesive bead and mechanical fixing arrangement.
