FIREFLY® FB180 Ablative Fire Batt 50mm – 1200 x 600mm

Description

FIREFLY® FB180 Ablative Batt 50mm is a high-density mineral-fibre firestop board with an ablative coating applied to both faces. It is designed to work alongside FIREFLY® flexible barriers, particularly where restricted access, irregular structure or multiple services make a flexible-only detail impractical.

• High-density 180kg/m³ mineral-fibre core for rigidity and secure friction fitting
• Can provide up to 60 minutes of integrity and 30 minutes of insulation in tested barrier-system details
• Suitable for approved vertical and horizontal applications
• Useful around roof profiles, structural steel, eaves and complex penetration zones
• Factory-coated white surfaces are easy to identify and finish

System use

Cut the batt to fit the opening and combine it with compatible FIREFLY® flexible barriers, sealants, coatings and fixings as shown in the current system drawing.

Installation note: Reseal all cut edges and minor damage with FIREFLY® Ablative Coating or the specified sealant.
