Description
Protecta FR Board 50mm is a coated stone wool firestop board designed for larger service openings in fire-rated walls and floors. The high-density core is factory coated with Protecta FR Coating to help reduce permeability, restrict hot gases and limit heat transfer through the seal.

- Suitable for larger and multi-service openings, including pipes, cables and cable trays
- Simple to cut and fit around complex service layouts
- Compatible with Protecta FR Acrylic, FR Pipe Wrap and other approved Protecta system components
- Supports fire, acoustic, smoke and air-sealing performance
- Can provide fire resistance up to EI 240 in applicable tested configurations
- Allows additional services to be retrofitted when the approved detail is maintained
System use
The 50mm board is cut to suit the aperture and services, then installed using the sealants, wraps, coatings and fixing details specified for the selected tested system.
Installation note: Confirm the required coating configuration, board orientation, annular seals and service separation against the latest Protecta technical documentation.
