FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic is a flexible water-based fire and acoustic sealant for linear joints, metal pipes and FB180 Ablative Batt systems. Supplied in 310ml cartridges, it can provide up to four hours of fire resistance and up to 55dB sound reduction in suitable tested details.

Description
FIREFLY® FR Intumescent Acrylic Sealant is a water-based fire and smoke seal for linear joints and selected service penetrations. It remains flexible after curing, making it suitable for construction joints and FB180 Ablative Batt details that require limited movement accommodation.
Key features
- Can provide up to four hours of fire resistance in applicable tested systems
- Suitable for linear joints up to 35mm wide where covered by the approval
- Compatible with concrete, timber, steel and gypsum board constructions
- Suitable around approved metal-pipe penetrations
- Movement capability up to approximately ±12.5%
- Tested acoustic performance up to 55dB in the relevant construction
- Available as single 310ml cartridges or boxes of 12
System use
Use around penetrations and across cuts, joints and exposed edges within the FIREFLY® FB180 Ablative Batt system, together with Ablative Coating where specified.
Installation note: Follow the tested joint width, backing material, seal depth and substrate preparation requirements.
