Protecta FR Pipe Wrap is a graphite-based intumescent wrap for plastic pipes, conduits and insulated metal pipes passing through fire-rated walls and floors. It expands under heat to help close the opening as combustible pipework or insulation softens.

Description
Protecta FR Pipe Wrap is a ready-to-use graphite intumescent strip for service penetrations through fire-rated walls and floors. It is installed around the service and expands when exposed to fire, helping close the void left by softened plastic pipe or combustible insulation.

System use
The wrap is positioned around the pipe before the remaining opening is sealed with the specified Protecta FR Board, EX Mortar or other approved penetration-seal system.
Installation note: Confirm the wrap width, number of layers, position and annular seal against the latest Protecta tested detail.
