Description

Protecta FR Acrylic is a flexible, water-based fire-rated sealant for linear joints and service penetrations in fire-rated walls and floors. Once cured, it retains a degree of movement capability and helps maintain fire, smoke, acoustic and air-sealing performance.

Key features

Suitable for approved joints and service openings in gypsum, masonry, concrete and cross-laminated timber constructions
Forms a durable intumescent char when exposed to fire
Thermally activates at approximately 180°C
Can provide fire resistance of up to four hours depending on the tested construction and seal detail
Supports acoustic insulation and airtightness
Available as single 310ml tubes or boxes of 25

Typical applications

Use around cables, metal pipes and other approved services, or for linear joints where a flexible acrylic fire seal is specified.
